The Etta Israel Center is the only organization in Los Angeles providing self-contained classrooms for Jewish students with educational and developmental challenges. Because each child with special needs is different, the Etta Israel Center provides Jewish families with a range of educational services.
Ner Yaakov:
Named in memory of Mr. Aharon Yaakov Kornwasser z"l, the Ner Yaakov Classroom, on the campus of Yeshiva Rav Isaacson, is geared toward boys with Learning Disabilities in the 6th-8th grades. The educational director is Mrs. Penny Pflaster. Ner Yaakov provides its students with an educational experience designed to meet their needs, support their strengths, and create success. The day includes a well-rounded curriculum including a full Limudai Kodesh (Hebrew Studies) program as well as reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and computers.

Ner Shoshana:
Named after Shoshana Hayman Greenbaum h"yd, the Ner Shoshana Classroom at Bais Yaakov serves high school and post high school age girls who have developmental disabilities.
